Peanut Butter Heart Sandwich Treats
For a dog, there aren't many things better than licking your chops after a spoonful of peanut butter. So why not let yummy peanut butter be the glue that holds two crunchy dog biscuits together as a special treat for Valentine's Day? We can't think of any reasons to not make these for your special pup!

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Combine the water, biscuit mix, and oil in a mixing bowl. Work dough together. If dough is too dry add 1-2 tablespoons of water at a time until you get a good consistency. You should be looking for a sugar cookie dough consistency for rolling and cutting out shapes. Roll out your dough into a 1/4" thick sheet on a floured surface. Cut into shapes and place them on your parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Turn your oven off and leave the treats in the oven as or cools to let the biscuits dry. Once they are completely cooled, decorate the tops (see below) with your messages and use a dollop of peanut butter to sandwich two cookies together. |
Want to make them even more special? Write a cute conversation heart message on the top with some plain cream cheese in a piping bag.
