Homemade Celebration Meal

Homemade Celebration Meal

During the holidays many pet owners make the mistake of sharing their leftovers with their dogs. Bones from meat, certain seasonings, and alcohol are not safe for dogs to consume. It’s better to be safe than sorry and just not share your leftovers.

However, you can make your dog their own special Christmas meal to enjoy with you!

What you'll need:

  • 3 Pounds Cooked Boneless, Skinless Turkey
  • 1 Cup Cooked Plain Oatmeal
  • 2 Sweet Potatoes, Cubed
  • 2 Tablespoons Plain Cranberry Sauce
  • 4 Tablespoons Turkey Gravy (No garlic or Onions)
  • Water for Oats

Cut the cooked turkey into bite size pieces. Throw the diced sweet potatoes in a boiling pot of water for about 20 minutes until fork tender. Follow the cooking directions on the oatmeal packaging.

In a large bowl, add the turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, and oatmeal. Stir until well combined.

You can serve your dog right away or store in an airtight container for later!
