Hearty Homemade Beef Stew for Pups

Hearty Homemade Beef Stew for Pups

Us humans love a slow cooked beef stew, especially during the cold winter months. So why not make your dog his/her very own serving of beef stew? This recipe requires simple ingredients that are totally safe for your dog's tummy. This recipe will make 2 servings for a smaller sized dog and about 1 serving for for a large size dog. This can also be served as a topper for your Grain Free or Wheat Free Base Mix. Let’s get started!

What you'll need:

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Large White Potato or Sweet Potato
  • 1 Medium Carrot
  • Diced ½ Cup Frozen Peas
  • Water, enough to cover the vegetables completely in the pot
  • Large Pot

Sauté the ground beef in your large pot until it is no longer pink.

Add the potatoes and carrots into the pot next. Add just enough water to cover the vegetables and let boil.

Once it has been brought to a boil let it simmer for about 20 minutes. While it is simmering, add in the peas.

Let cool before serving to your dog. Leftovers can be kept in a food storage container in the fridge. This should take no more than 35 minutes to make.

Bone Appetit!
